A special conference rate of $165.00 plus tax per room has been set up at the Holiday Inn & Suites Duluth Downtown. Individual room reservations can be made directly with the Holiday Inn at (218) 722-1202. Please use group code MNF when making reservations or the online reservation link at MN Professional Fire Fighters . The room block is available October 2-4, 2022. All reservations must be made by September 2, 2022 to guarantee our group room rate. Reservations made after that point will be based on availability and price set by the hotel. There will be no extension on the room block, this is their primetime for fall colors. Book early.
MALTS Schedule
MALTS will be held on Monday October 3. The general session will have speakers from PERA, a work comp attorney, and Jim Michaels on your obligation as a union officer. Two breakout sessions, one on President’s duties and one for Secretary and Treasurer duties. Start time 10:00 am , Lunch will be provided. This event will be free to all Local officers.
Convention Schedule
The MPFF Convention begins Tuesday, October 4, at 8:00 a.m. with opening ceremonies and continues until business has been completed.
Monday evening after MALTS, President Vadnais will host the President’s dinner beginning with a social hour and dinner to follow. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Tuesday.
Registration/Credentials
Registration for the Convention will be $225.00 per Delegate/Alternate if received in the MPFF office by August 31, 2022. A $50.00 per Delegate/Alternate late fee will be charged for all registrations received after August 31 due to food and logistic deadlines imposed on the MPFF. It is highly recommended that you register and submit credentials prior to convention. On-site registration will be available on Monday between 9 am to 4 pm and on Tuesday 7 to 11 am. There will be no refunds for late cancellations or no-shows.
Credentials, Convention Check-in, and Seating
Every delegate/alternate must include a signed credential form with their registration to be seated at the Convention. Each delegate or alternate must check-in prior to 11:00 am on the day of Convention. Check-in must be done in person. No other delegate or alternate may check-in for another delegate or alternate.
Elections
Elections will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 for MPFF Secretary–Treasurer, Northern District Vice President, and Northern District At-Large Board Member/Trustee.
Convention Location
Nominations will be taken for the 2024 Convention in the Central District.
